| Abstract: | The Medical Services Commission arrived in Malta on the 5th of November 1956, and interviewed a large number of professional as well as lay persons. The results of their labour are embodied in an excellent report which is lucid and comprehensive. It touches on all aspects of the medical services of these islands, including such items as nursing, amenities for chronic patients, suitability of buildings used as hospitals, finance, distribution of drugs and a number of other questions. It is the purpose of this article to present to the public a simplified account of this report. |
