Abstract: On 8 August 1686, His Majesty's ship Dragon left Deptford for the Mediterranean. She reached Malta on 13 March of the fo llowing year under the command of Captain H. Killegrew the Commander-in-Chief of the Sally Squadron, whose clerk, Mr. G. Wood, kept a journal of the voyage and left an account of the ship's mission to Malta.
