Abstract: | The editor of the Daily Malta Chronicle, Mr. Joseph Bartolo, gave considerable publicity in the summer of 1911 to the coronation of King George V and the plans made in the United Kingdom for a rally of Scouts to be reviewed by His Majesty in Windsor Great Park. The Scout Movement in Malta was passing through a lean period but the first of many contingents to represent Malta at international Scout gatherings totalled six boys and two leaders. Donations after a circularised appeal totalled £86. |
