Abstract: In 1905, on the horizon of the Maltese Esperanto movement, appeared a new figure, that of Agostino Levanzin, B.A., C.P ., P .L., who had the serial number 12925 in the Zamenhof Directory. When still a student at the Lyceum, he was attracted by the planned language Volapuk, created by the German Catholic priest Martin Schleyer (1831- 1912). He was encouraged to study it by Prof. Napuljun Tagliaferro. Afterwards, with the same Tagliaferro, he turned to another language project, Idiom Neutral, which he even used for correspondence. His efforts knew no bounds. In fact he was editor of Lo Studente Maltese and later of Il-Habib and In-Naflla . He even published a novel in Maltese, Is-Sannar Falzun.
