| Abstract: | A poster presentation regarding the identification of pharmaceutical care needs for rheumatoid arthritis patients on methotrexate. Introduction: Effective and safe management of rheumatoid arthritis patients depends on safe prescribing, monitoring and administration of disease modifying antirheumatic drugs, biological agents and biosimilars. A pharmaceutical care framework implemented within a multidisciplinary care clinic can further substantiate and improve pharmacological management of rheumatoid arthritis patients resulting in improved service provision to the patients. Aims: To assess the impact of a pharmaceutical care service offered to rheumatoid arthritis patients within the Rheumatology Out-Patient setting in a general public hospital. |
