Abstract: A poster presentation regarding the impact of chronic renal failure on bone status. Introduction: Impaired kidney function may lead to a reduction in bone mineral density, predisposing patients to higher fracture risks, increased morbidity and mortality especially at end-stage renal failure. It predisposes patients to several metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis. Aims: • To estimate the prevalence of osteoporosis in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). • To evaluate bone density regression in renal failure patients.
