Citation: Casha, M. (2019). The creation of an effective campaign promoting road safety : a project aimed at minimising the risks of road accidents through the creation of a campaign (Bachelor’s dissertation).
Abstract: The safety standards on Maltese roads have severely declined in recent years, making it a major concern for the population as a whole, hence generating the need for immediate action to be taken by all road users alike. This dissertation revolves around how the indiscipline on local roads can be minimised through education, amongst others, particularly through the creation of visual communication campaigns. Substantiated by the research and experimentation done throughout the various stages of this dissertation, the visual campaign, which is made up of public service announcements (PSAs), is intended to raise awareness regarding road safety by encouraging all viewers to have a safe drive, through posters promoting the basic road safety rules.
