Abstract: In this dissertation we will focus on classifying serial killers into categories as per different authors and will try to understand the origins of serial killers, and the different areas where crime develops and lastly, the most common types of murder. The first chapter will be focused on the Introduction of serial killers topic, and their classification according to the different authors and their studies. On the second chapter, we will study the literature to be able to understand the different definitions of serial killers and their motivations. On the chapter number three, we will focus on the methodology carried out in this dissertation and the differences between methodologies and chapter four will be focused on percentages and graphics of the data gathered previously. Lastly chapter five will focus on the conclusions and any useful recommendations for future studies.
