| Abstract: | It was August 18th, 1969, and at 12 o'clock our plane descended to land at Luqa Airport. My first impression of Malta came at about 10,000 feet. Was it an island, or an opal set on a blue velvet cushion? Little did I think that I was looking at what was to become the island cf my dreams. Nearly a year has gone by since my husband and I left, but each day I can take from my memory box scenes of such beauty, and incidents of tremendous charm and happiness, that they can tum the dullest day into one filled with sunshine.
