Abstract: Poetry is an art as old as man himself, and it is to be found almost in the literature of every country around the world. It is almost impossible to conceive a literature without the presence of poetry. No nation or country in the world can call itself a nation if it cannot boast of an artistic heritage. Ovid, that great Latin poet, had already coined this thought in one of his writings. [excerpt]
