Abstract: | On 17th June 1921, a competition was announced in Malta for designs for a definitive set of postage stamps to commemorate the granting of Self Government. The Crown Agents wrote to De La Rue on 16th September to request that: You will have suitable drawings made. They asked for advice on size and printing process. The bromide essay below was sent on 5th October: 'for printing by the Surface Process' in this size. [excerpt] |
