| Abstract: | The Malta Philatelic Society was born in March 2006, because of the initiative undertaken by L. Frank, B. Darmanin, Dr C. G. Cassar, Dr J. H. Mercieca, Dr J. Soler, Mr C. Whelpdale, or A. Ganado and A. Fenech. The aim was to bring together Maltese philatelists together, for discussions, lectures, shows, and exchanges. From this humble beginning our members have participated in F. I. P. Exhibitions and have been awarded Large Gold, Gold, Large Vermeil medals. Our Journal has been awarded Silver in Chicagopex 2002, 4 & 5. Since 2000 we have held a yearly MALTEX Exhibition, which has proved to be a great success. [excerpt] |
