| Abstract: | Within a contextual approach this dissertation portrays leadership qualities required by school leaders in the current changing digitally influenced scenarios. The dissertation considers the views of resident teachers and Learning Support Educators, herein and after referred to as educators, and school leaders who are themselves educators entrusted with educational leadership and decision-making authority. By examining nascent interpretations on observed leadership styles, and the embraced qualities the leaders in the same school employed, this research brought out similarities and divergences pointing towards the necessity or requirement of a distinct form of leadership that goes beyond the transactional, transformational and translational leadership forms to incorporate unnatural digitally mediated forms of leadership. |
