Helicopteros Del Sureste : SA first flights Gozo-Malta-Gozo

Abstract

On the 21 March 2005, the Maltese-Spanish Philatelic and Numismatic Club issued its 18th Commemorative Cover to mark the Bell412 EP helicopter First Flights Gozo-Malta and return by the Helicopteros Del Sureste SA. As usual, it has been on the initiative of the Maltese-Spanish Circle hard-working President, Mr John Micallef, that this Cover has been released. The Bell 412 EP helicopter left the Gozo heliport of Xewkija under clear skies for a 10-minute flight marking the resumption of the Gozo-Malta-Gozo air link. At the controls of the helicopter were chief pilot Luis Navarrate and Captain Salvador Garrazoni. The return flight from Malta International Airport bound to Xewkija helipad also lasted ten minutes.
