Abstract: This dissertation consists of a detaied analysis of the ceramic remains from Stratriagraphic Unit 1033 at Tas-Silg, witth the aim of identifying the processes that lead to the formation of the deposit. Since the publication of the works by Michael Schiffer, who provides the most comprehensive treatment of the subject, the study of site formation processes have been very fruitful and have shown that the condition of archaeological remains can sometimes give clues to what they were before their last incorporation in the depost from which they were excavated and how they ended up there.
