Abstract: The recall variable is one of the most difficult variables to measure. Definitions for reliability and verification abound, parameters vary and demographics play an important role. This research measures the recall variable for local radio listeners. A random sample of the Maltese population is analised over a period of 1 week. It establishes information in order to verify whether listeners have their radio tuned in for noise, or whether they understand what they hear. This research is carried out through a quantitative technique in order to establish an empirical result. This project should be considered a pilot study for further recall research, which in the future could become an on-going study.
