Citation: Vella, D. (2004). Video documentary production (Bachelor's dissertation).
Abstract: This dissertation discusses the production of a video documentary entitled Fifteen, which was entirely produced and directed by Stanley Agius and myself. All filming took place in Israel and Palestine, where the documentary explored the discriminations and difficulties faced by a Palestinian minority with Israeli citizenship. Along with descriptions on methodology and an analysis, this report includes a brief discussion of some of the main debates that were born with the first great documentaries of Flaherty, and Grierson, and continued to develop with every documentary produced to date. The methodology section includes references to technical and aesthetic issues that were explored in the making of our documentary.
