| Abstract: | This theoretical dissertation analyses the social impact of citizen journalism, as technological developments are fuelling its spread. It will outline present developments, compare and contrast citizen journalism with its professional equivalent, and look at the benefits and drawbacks of citizen journalism, in an attempt to answer whether or not its spread will serve to improve the role of journalism as a public service. |
