| Abstract: | When a company wants to demonstrate its image, capabilities as well as corporate character, it can do so through a number of ways. One of these ways includes the use of a corporate video. Corporate videos are regarded as Audio Visual company brochures. This dissertation is the creation of a corporate video for St. James Cavalier - Centre for Creativity. It is targeted towards existing as well as potential customers of the Cavalier. Through this written material needed to supplement the corporate video, one can follow the entire process of creating a video production: First through the preproduction stage i.e. the developing of the idea, script writing as well as the selection of the appropriate sound track, the production stage i.e. the actual shooting, and the postproduction stage i.e. editing of the raw footage, mixing of sound, adding of graphics up till the final product is complete. Through this dissertation, one can also get to know about the benefits of using video for promotional purposes as opposed to using other media such as the print media. |
