| Abstract: | In recent months a number of articles have appeared in the European philatelic press about the stamps of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. On the one side some contributors view these stamps as merely another attempt to squeeze naive collectors. Others, on the contrary, think that the Order of Malta must be considered as an independent country with the full right of issuing its own stamps and that these merit inclusion in collections. In this article we would like to give the results of the research we have carried out. |
