| Abstract: | The designer, Norbert Attard, succeeded in producing a nice set with a very clear message. The 3c stamp shows the new Marsa Shipyard. This shipyard will be capable of building vessels ranging from 20,000 to 120,000 dwt. with production planned to start in 1983. The 8c stamp features the Manoel Island Yacht Yard. This yard is equipped with seven slipways capable of handling boats up to 61 metres in length and 500 tons displacement. In its winter storage boat park it can accommodate about 140 boats. The boat park is served by a 25 ton mobile hoist. [excerpt] |
