| Abstract: | Migration has been a key feature of human existence since the very dawn of history. It has taken various forms and its intensity has varied over time. In this paper I propose to look at the Maltese entrepreneurial network which flourished in Spain from the late seventeenth century to the early nineteenth century and compare it to the 'classical' diasporas. In addition, I will highlight the particular importance of entrepreneurs from Zejtun in this phenomenon. |
