Community policing in Marsaxlokk

Abstract

This dissertation is titled 'Community Policing in Marsaxlokk.' The main notion of this dissertation is to verify if law-abiding citizens living in the southern village of Marsaxlokk, actually agree with the promotion of community policing in their locality and also if they desire to form part of this alliance between the community and the police. After weighing both my findings through literature and through my research methods, I will confirm if community policing is in fact a worthwhile and effective tool in the Marsaxlokk, or not. To complete this study a qualitative approach was selected and interviews were used to gather knowledge from people working in particular fields and also the general public.
