Abstract: The pharmacological and therapeutic outcomes associated with drug chirality have recently become an important issue. Several antiepileptic drugs possess an asymmetric centre, yet little is known about the clinical consequences of antiepileptic stereoselective drug action. Such information may also help in understanding of the idiosyncratic toxicity and efficacy of these drugs. [excerpt]
