Abstract: This year I have been given the responsibility to update the promotional brochure that adverts Inglesina summer camp school to be used in January 2022. The Inglesina summer camp school, where I assist students in teaching and personal issues consultation, offers beginner English courses to international students aged between 12 and 19 years. Consequently, a quantitative research study wherein the participants included were both male and female over nineteen years of age was conducted. A survey was generated and proposed to the research subjects who volunteered to participate in answering questions related to the old mentioned brochure. The study examines how hierarchy and color are importantly required to convey a message successfully. Unfortunately, the pandemic did affect the direction of the findings of the research study. Selection bias was introduced, face to face interviews were cancelled and questions were automated. Findings did confirm the importance to have a clear subtitle encompassing a brief overview of the purpose of the study. In the result section, contradictory results between the first and third section was produced disclosing the presence of bias and indicating the limitations of the study. Despite this, the question in the third section still confirmed that details required amendments according to present literature matched with the comments provided by the participants. Results concluded that participants did find visual hierarchy and color to be vital when it comes to noticing and picking up a brochure.
