| Abstract: | This study explains the history of the industry in Malta in terms of planning, recommendations, and problems encountered. The first development plans including those for, 1959-1964 and 1964-1969 are described and explained. In an attempt to strengthen the industry in Malta by overcoming related difficulties, the obstacles encountered by different manufacturing industries are emphasised. |
