Abstract: It is with such education in mind that the NSTF- Student Travel Foundation, inspired by its own constitution to foster and promote educational and cultural development, welcomed the invitation to fund the project of Sancir. The meticulous research undertaken to recover the history of this forlorn monument through centuries of fragmented archives has not only revealed a rare landmark in the arid pages of our medieval heritage, but moreover pays tribute to our treasured melitensia. The scholarly dedication that has primarily realised this eminent achievement is not merely acknowledged by words of praise and gratitude today, but essentially by history itself, through its documented forms that shall pass on from generation to generation.
