| Abstract: | Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networking platform/model is a decentralised architecture where each peer makes its given resources available to other peers. The P2P model allows for partitioning given tasks, environment load or other applicable resources among the peers without any centralised unit. Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games are systems that support enormous amount of users and allows them to interact with each other (and with other entities of a virtual environment) simultaneously. This concept of software development has a high level of importance and credibility that, combining with an appropriate and mature attitude, introduces an arena of research work for computer scientists and enthusiasts. In terms of its scientific value, it closely lies in and binds within the boundaries of computer science, artificial intelligence, information systems and other branches of the academic IT and science worlds. This document presents an approach aimed at providing a solution that would combine both worlds - the MMO game concept and the P2P networking model - a Massively Interactive Peer-To-Peer Online Game System (MIPOGS). |
