| Abstract: | Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is an enveloped double-stranded DNAvirus found commonly worldwide with a seroprevalence ranging from 45% to 100% (1,2). Congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) infection is one of the most common intra-uterine viral infection (3). It is the leading cause of non-genetic sensorineural hearing loss (SNLH) and is an important cause of neurodevelopmental disabilities in children (4). |
