| Abstract: | The ovary is the site of several different tumours because it contains many different cell types and due to its proximity to the fallopian tube. While most ovarian tumours are benign or borderline, ovarian cancer is the second most common gynaecologic malignancy and the fifth most common cause of death in women. |
