Abstract: In today's production industry all around the world there is a drive to reduce the manufacturing time and at the same time render as much as possible the process operator-independent. The testing stage must clearly be a reliable and fast process. This project presents an Automated Testing system used to test a switched mode power supply. It includes all the basic principles found in industrially available Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). The system consists of a Testing Jig on which the testing is done, interfaced to a computer through a controlling card. The computer is used to gather results and to control the test equipment, consisting of an electronic load and an external power supply. Waveforms are also monitored on two oscilloscopes.
