Abstract: Being mathematically inclined and having read some articles on the subject has led me to undertake this project. Without actually realising beforehand, the wide engineering applications soon made themselves evident and my interest was confirmed. The contents of this project are divided into the theoretical and practical parts. However they are interdependent as following the sections chronologically will, I hope, make obvious. The subject of binary sequences is to my knowledge a relatively unexposed one especially in the case of this Course. However this fact has provided me with the opportunity to make some research as is expected in a project of this kind.
