Citation: Sant, J. (1991). Gate array circuits (Bachelor's dissertation).
Abstract: Gate arrays are presently the largest portion of the Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) market, which also includes full custom and standard cell devices. The main advantages offered by a gate array choice are a short development time and low cost compared to otherĀ· ASIC options. This work aims to give a clear view of the design process for personalizing a gate array chip. It also incorporates certain design techniques. In particular it illustrates a top-down design methodology of a sequential system, complete with testability features built into the architecture of the design itself.
