Abstract: | The physicist's past is a story full of inventions and discoveries but looking back one cannot ignore the mishaps that have occurred in the past and that have had an adverse effect on our planet and us. This provokes thought about the role of the physicist in today's society. Hiroshima and Chernobyl can be quoted as two significant events that should be a source of constant reflection for one and all. |
