| Abstract: | SIR,-We read with interest the recent article by Dr D O Ho-Yen and his colleagues (26 June, p 1905) pointing out that in a series of 16 smokers high carboxyhaemoglobin concentrations were maintained despite the subjects smoking half their usual number of cigarettes. The authors attributed this unexpected finding to a demonstrable alteration in their smoking behaviour [excerpt]. |
