| Abstract: | This long assignment seeks to present a case study of the Rabat Regional Library in terms of trying to find the level of accessibility to information it provides. The collection will be analysed in the light of how it reflects the needs of the local community and its relevance in today's society, including people with special needs, the services offered by the library and any activities which it organises. A comparative study between standards for Public Libraries abroad and the standards used in setting up and running the above local library. This study was carried out by comparing two libraries in two countries. The student visited the UK as part of her research. The researcher will seek to present suggestions for improvement and recommendations based on the information found. This study will be carried out by means of a grounded - theory approach particularly through observation, document analysis and the use of questionnaires. |
