Abstract: The aim of this project, was to explore the possible sexual impact of clothing, worn by young Maltese females, coming from a particular social group, on their male counterparts. The main hypotheses were: • Females' clothing may have an erotic effect on their male counterparts and if so, • the erotic effect caused by clothes on young males would increase, if more erogenous zones were accentuated or revealed Five photographs of a young Maltese female dressed in different types of clothing were rated by 91 young males, on a five-point scaled questionnaire. The males were between seventeen and twenty-two years of age, and were chosen at random from different job settings and different localities in Malta. Results showed that clothing may have a sexual impact on young Maltese males and when more erogenous zones are accentuated or revealed such an effect may become higher. These findings allowed ample space for discussion and recommendations.
