The Department of Pharmacy from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, at the University of Malta proudly participated in the 83rd International Pharmaceutical Federation World Congress held in Copenhagen, Denmark, last month, showcasing the depth and diversity of its academic and research excellence.
A team of 19 academic staff, graduates, and postgraduate students at Master’s and Doctoral levels contributed to scientific sessions, presented research findings and provided visibility to the academic programmes offered at the Department of Pharmacy.
The team had 33 presentations sharing high-impact research findings in the scientific areas of Pharmacy Practice Research, Regulatory Sciences and Quality, Hospital Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Social and Administrative Pharmacy, Drug Delivery and Manufacturing, Drug Design.
Prof. Lilian M. Azzopardi chaired the Global Academic Leaders Forum session within the conference where academic leadership teams from faculties of pharmacy across the globe addressed aspects of Entrepreneurship and Collaboration in Pharmacy Research and Education.
Participation at this leading international scholarly conference in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences provided a strategic opportunity for knowledge exchange, networking and showcasing the Department of Pharmacy’s leading contribution in global developments in pharmacy education, practice innovations and research.
