Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Education (EDUMaH) students recently visited Faculty of Education at UM

Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Education (Museums and Heritage Education – EDUMaH) students are once again in Malta for their third semester, hosted by the Department of Arts, Open Communities and Adult Education at the University of Malta.

This year’s seventeen-strong cohort brings together self-funded and scholarship students from across the globe. They were warmly welcomed by Dean Prof. Colin Calleja at the start of a three-day orientation week exploring Malta’s vibrant museum and heritage landscape.

Visits and meetings introduced them to key cultural stakeholders, including Heritage Malta, the Notarial Archives Foundation, Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, Palazzo Falson, and the Malta Entertainment Industry and Arts Association — offering first-hand insights into how heritage, learning and community engagement intersect in the Maltese context.

Led by the University of Glasgow, EDUMaH is a consortium involving partner universities in Malta, Ireland, Estonia, and the Netherlands, alongside a growing network of associate institutions.

Dr Sandro Debono is the programme’s course coordinator at the University of Malta.
