The Faculty of Theology is launching the latest special edition of Melita Theologica in an event titled 'Mathematics and Friendship: Pavel Florensky’s Interdisciplinary Thought'.
This edition of Melita Theologica is wholly dedicated to the proceedings of an Interfaculty Colloquium organised by the Department of Moral Theology on Pavel Florensky: polymath, neomartyr, theologian and priest.
Programme:
- An address by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Rev. Dr John Anthony Berry
- The editors of the volume will deliver two brief presentations: Rev. Dr Martin Micallef on the history of Melita Theologica, tracing its course from an in-house journal to a peer-reviewed international resource and Rev. Dr Glen Attard's keynote address on the subject matter of the edition.
- Mr Jacob Portelli will accompany the event with musical interludes on the harp.
The organisers wish to inform those attending that light refreshments will be provided towards the end of the event.

More about Melita Theologica
Melita Theologica is the peer-reviewed journal of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta. The journal has been published biannually since 1947, initially by the then Royal University Students Theological Association (RUSTA) and, since 1980, as a joint venture between the Theology Students Association and the Faculty of Theology. As from 2012, Melita Theologica is being published jointly by the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta, the Theology Students Association, and the Foundation for Theological Studies.
