Event: Interactive Webinar on Civil Society
Dates: Thursday 27 January 2022
Time: 5:00pm-7:00pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
Civil society - numerous movements, organisations and institutions, differently composed, with differing objectives and sizes, but sharing common characteristics that make them different from the state and the market.
In the broadest sense, it represents citizens who organize to point out a problem or a need in the community and have them solved. It all starts with active citizens.
But what about the history of civil society in Europe? How much power does civil society have in affecting change? And more importantly, how has civil society shaped democracy in Malta?
Hosting this webinar, Leyla Sehic Relic, President of Centre for European Volunteering (CEV), will be addressing these questions and more.
