The talk entitled 'Housing in Malta' will focus on the current state of housing in Malta, with particular reference to private residential leases and the current jurisprudential developments in relation to the older class of rented dwellings.
The talk will be held on Friday 8 April at 18:00 at the University of Malta Cottonera Resource Centre. The speaker is Kurt Scerri.
Kurt Xerri is a Ph.D. candidate at the Housing Chair of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. His current research focuses on Maltese post-war housing policy with particular regard to tenancy law. He has an LL.D. and an M.A. (cum laude) from the University of Malta and was also appointed as a young researcher in the European TENLaw Project co-ordinated by the European University Institute (Bremen). He has also participated in the EU Pilot Project on Preventing Evictions and Homelessness were he was selected as the Maltese rapporteur by the managing consortium.
