The seminar will be held on Wednesday 22 November in Villa Bighi, Triq Marina, Il-Kalkara.
The University of Malta Maritime Platform, the Malta Marittima Agency (MMA), the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) and the Malta Maritime Forum (MMF) are pleased to announce a half day seminar which is intended to further network the national maritime players, to brainstorm the way forward towards new synergies between industry and academia, and to showcase the potentialities for excellence in the maritime economic sector.
The seminar is expected to catalyse a coordinated effort to concretely link academia to industry and the business community by identifying common targets, planning joint actions, proposing enhanced service provision in maritime affairs, promoting innovation and new technologies, and proposing a platform for the sharing of essential marine data and information to sustain industry applications.
The participants will be able to acquire information from prominent speakers, share and put forward ideas for the enhancement of collaboration, and contribute to establish common interests and targets within the maritime industry. The participants will engage in working groups discussing the future of the maritime industry, the Blue Med Policy and the practical problems and potential for industry-academia EU funded projects and their success stories. A floor discussion will summarise and conclude the seminar.
