The Institute for Climate Change & Sustainable Development is hosting Dr Simone Russo. Dr Russo has a Ph.D. in Applied Physics; he has developed the Heat Wave Magnitude Index daily that is able to compare the magnitude of heat waves across regions with different climatology.
Dr Russo will be delivering a public lecture entitled ‘Half a degree and rapid socioeconomic development matter for heatwave risk’. The event will be held on Thursday 7 March 2019 between 17:30 and 18:30 in Room 116, Old Humanities Building (OH 116).
Attendance is free of charge. Refreshments will be served after the lecture. Registration is necessary and can be done by sending an email with name, organisation, and contact details.
