Networking in the Euro-Mediterranean region: Innovative approaches to empower women
Ms Emilie Vidal will explain the work of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation, and then present the methodology that was developed and tested in order to promote collective work among civil society, the research community, policy-makers and other actors in the Southern Mediterranean. The methodology made it possible to collect data, research and generate interesting information about the unequal condition of women and men at political, economic and social levels from a local perspective.
Accordingly, Ms Vidal will share some lessons that one can learn from a better coordination to analyse the situation of women and take action to claim their rights in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Finally, she will propose some insights about the challenges at stake for producing positive changes in the field of gender equality in the Mediterranean area.
The general public is cordially invited to attend this public lecture.
