Event: A Place to Belong: Research on Housing Realities and Policies in Malta
Date: 12 March 2020
Time: 18:00 - 19:00
Organised by: MA Students from the Centre for the Study and Practice of Conflict Resolution
Venue: VC 101, IT Services Building, University of Malta Msida
Join us to discuss the research and realities of housing in Malta.
How does research on housing contribute to the development of housing policy in Malta?
What research gaps exist on the topic, and what would be beneficial to study?
What are the connections between the topics of housing, integration and migration?
What role do academics, NGOs, and the government hold in this debate?
Speakers Dr Ibtisam Sadegh, Dr Rachael Scicluna and Dr Kurt Xerri will present on the topic in relation to contemporary realities in Malta, and participate in an interactive panel discussion with the audience.
We encourage students, researchers, and those working in, or interested in, the fields of integration, social policy, housing and migration to attend.
This discussion is being hosted by Masters students in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, in collaboration with the University of Malta Centre for the Study and Practice of Conflict Resolution and the George Mason University School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.
