The fourth edition of the Dean’s Forum, a debating society event, is being organised by the Faculty for Social Wellbeing next March.
The scope of this platform, in virtual format this time, is to provide students with an opportunity
Such an opportunity provides students with a practical experience to enhance transferable skills such as communication, research and develop compelling evidence-based arguments. Furthermore, debating enables students’ confidence, self-esteem and critical thinking.
Participation in the Dean’s Forum also exposes students to key stakeholders in the social sector, as a number of academics and stakeholders in the field will be invited to engage in the judging process. Students will be judged on their understanding of the theme in discussion, logical argumentation, public speaking skills and respect towards each other.
A generous award will also be given to the winning team.
