The Doctoral School would like to invite all UM Academic staff, doctoral researchers and other interested researchers to attend the Annual Doctoral Symposium 2021 which will be held virtually on Friday 30 April 2021 at 17:00.
The objective of the Doctoral Symposium is to provide doctoral researchers with the opportunity to present and discuss their research with their peers. This year's keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Russell Smith from the UM's Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation (CEBI), who will be considering doctoral researchers as entrepreneurs, sellers of specialist know-how. Following this, fourteen doctoral researchers from different disciplines will present their work in three different break-out rooms. A copy of the Doctoral Symposium Programme's PDF document is available for download here .
All interested parties are requested to register via the online form by Monday 26 April 2021. In the meantime, the inspiring keynote speech delivered remotely by Prof. Shosh Leshem (Professor of Education at Oranim Academic College of Education, Israel) during last year's Doctoral Symposium at the Valletta Campus, has been published and is accessible on OAR - UM's institutional repository.
