Date: 28 June 2021
Time: 18:00
Venue: YouTube (Set your Reminder below)
The Department of Youth and Community Studies is supporting a cultural project called “Deledda in Cammino" (Deledda on the Road) co-produced by the non-profit organisation “GarcĂa Lorca Theatrical Company” and Fondazione di Sardegna.
The project pays tribute to the Sardinian-Italian writer Grazia Deledda, awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1926. The project is based on a monologue adapted for the stage from her novel “La Via del Male" (The Way of Evil), published for the first time in 1896. The main themes revolve around the notions of good and evil, choice and responsibility.
The production is in Italian, without subtitles, accompanied by the piano and is intended for scholars who want to develop their knowledge on Italian literature. The live online broadcast of the project lasts one hour. It will be disseminated through a cultural journey that unfolds in eight stages.
The first will involve the collaboration of the University of Malta through the department of Youth and Community Studies on Monday 28 June at 18.00.
The event will be livestreamed via YouTube.
