Title: From Trash to Art: Create the Coastline of a European City
Date: Saturday 25 September 2021
Time: 16:00 (UTC+ 02)
Apply: via this website
Participate in this exciting competition by SEA-EU, the consortium of universities and partners uniting many students and staff across Europe through the quest of multilingual and interdisciplinary education.
Our surrounding seas present many opportunities, so let us create ways to show how we can still enjoy these coastlines without polluting them! Tap into your creative side and you will have your creation presented on the Science in the City website and social media!
Use the rest of the summer break to re-imagine the coastlines of one of the SEA-EU cities – Cádiz (Spain), Western Brittany (Brest, France), Kiel (Germany), Gdańsk (Poland), Split (Croatia) and Malta (Malta) – and create a 3-D diagram or sculpture of one of these coasts using recyclable materials.
The first three winning entries will be awarded prizes to Esplora Interactive Science Centre and gift cards redeemable at the Model Shop.
Details for entry can be found online.
Send a photo of your work via email.
Entry deadline: Monday 20 September 2021
The three winners will be able to present their crafts on stage on 25 September at the Science in the City Festival.
